About Michelle

I first moved to Shrewsbury in 2006, and my husband John and I purchased our forever home here in 2014, where we are raising our three sons, ages 12, 10, and 8. Prior to joining the Select Board, I was a community advocate and volunteer, having led projects for the town's schools, public safety, and social services. I have served as a Town Meeting Member since 2018, and as Campaign Chairperson of the ballot committee that successfully advocated for the passage of the 2021 operational override to ensure appropriate funding for Shrewsbury’s municipal and education budgets for years to come. I served on the Board of Directors to Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services, have been a Beal and Sherwood School Council member since 2017, and served as PTO President at Parker Road and then Beal School from 2015 to 2023. I am currently a scout leader for three scouting groups in town, and volunteer weekly with the food pantry at the Shrewsbury Senior Center.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband and our three boys. We have two cats, Tilly and Salem, and we love all things outdoors, from camping and hiking to paddling and skiing. I love gardening and reading, and can usually be found listening to an audiobook.

I am passionate about service and fostering a love of community and belonging for everyone.
